Windows Server 2003 Introduction

There is a difference between all these but we are not discussing that here. We will use window server 2003 Enterprise Edition.

Now Second step is , How to install this. Before installing it we take a brief look of its structure.

This is the OS structure.lets take a brief introduction of its parts.

Application

                   Applications are things you use a server for, such as web server software, database software, or even microsoft office.

Multitasking and Multithreading is part of applications.

Multitasking is running multiple application on single server.

Multi-threading is same as multi-tasking. Its a mini task that runs with main task. For example Microsoft Word allows us to write document and also prints another document while spell cheker is also running.

OK Now we come to the isntallation of Window Server2003.

Installation Methods

There are three method to install window

1. Using CD/DVD disc as usually.
2. If we are using a network then we have a copy of windows at the server So We use that copy to install window.
3. RIS(Remote Installation Service), In this NA(network administrator) installs your window by accessing your computer Remotely.Remote Access means access a computer from a large distance while they are connected through a network. To know more about this CLICK HERE.

Istallation of two types either Attended or Unattended. 

In Attended we have to give information at the time of installing windows. For ex product key, time and date etc. So its a time consuming.

In Unattended installation We just start process installing windows . All information are manually performed by computer itself. It is also automated istallation. For this we have to create answer file which have all informations already entered. For detail please VISIT.

You can also use Virtual Machine to install windows server 2003.
